Our Music

The Music of Music Together®

One of the things families love most about Music Together® is the music itself. Each session features a rich collection of songs, chants, rhythms, and musical activities designed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them®.

At Joyful Hearts Music, families sing, move, dance, chant, and play along with music that is joyful, engaging, and enjoyable for both children and adults. The songs include a mix of original music and traditional tunes inspired by a variety of musical styles, including folk, blues, jazz, and world music.

The music is developmentally appropriate for young children, while still being interesting and enjoyable for grownups. That matters because young children learn best when the adults they love are actively participating and having fun, too.

Take the Music Home

Music Together® is designed to continue beyond the classroom. When you register for a session, your family receives access to the current music collection and session materials so you can keep singing, moving, and playing at home.

Families often use the music during everyday routines like playtime, car rides, bath time, cleanup, and bedtime. These repeated musical experiences help children become more familiar with the songs and give them more opportunities to listen, move, vocalize, experiment, and grow.

Enrolled families can listen to their registered music through the Music Together app.

Listen to Family Favorites®

New families are welcome to listen to the Music Together Family Favorites® collection before joining us for class. This collection is available on Spotify and Apple Music, and it is a great way to get a feel for the music we use in our demo classes.

Our demo classes feature songs from the Family Favorites® collection, so your family may already recognize some of the music when you attend your first class.

A Rotating Curriculum

Music Together® features a rotating curriculum with twelve different song collections over a three-year cycle. This means families are introduced to new songs and musical activities each time they register for a new session.

Over time, children experience a wide variety of songs, rhythms, tonalities, movement activities, and musical styles. Because music learning builds through repeated exposure and participation, families are encouraged to continue Music Together throughout early childhood.

Each session brings something new while still giving children the repetition and familiarity they need to grow musically.

Current Collection: Kazoo

Our current session features the Kazoo Collection.

Enrolled families receive access to the Kazoo music collection and session materials, making it easy to continue the music-making at home throughout the week. In class, we’ll explore the songs through singing, movement, dancing, chanting, rhythm play, and child-friendly instruments.

The Kazoo Collection is a joyful introduction to Music Together at Joyful Hearts Music, and we’re excited to share this music with your family.
