Hi, I’m Tammy! I’m the owner of Joyful Hearts Music Together^®, and I’m so excited to bring Music Together classes to families in San Diego.

I’ve been teaching music for over 15 years, and helping children grow through music has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in economics and double minors in music and education, and I began teaching piano while I was in college. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and seeing firsthand how music can build confidence, connection, creativity, and joy.

My work as a Music Together teacher is supported by specialized training in early childhood music development. I successfully completed the live Music Together Teacher Training, which is grounded in research on how young children learn music, and I continue to build on that foundation through semester workshops and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

As a teacher and a mom, I especially love the way Music Together creates meaningful shared experiences for children and their grownups. My hope is that every family who comes to class feels welcomed, supported, and free to enjoy making music together. I believe music should be joyful, natural, and accessible, and I’m honored to create a space where families can sing, move, play, and connect.
